Foundation of a Hero

Foundation of a Hero
Is a cuneus soulfulness who lives a lifetime greater than himself or is a superstar soulfulness who in a moment gives a fraction of his life to something greater than himself? Is there a difference? For some, a hero is someone who is a great role model with effectual values and attainments, normally someone who has values that they admire or have accomplishments that they hope to achieve. Joseph Campbell describes a hero as someone who has given his life to something bigger than himself or something other than himself.(Campbell tally 6) Martin Luther King Jr. devoted his life fighting for the nicety of black people; marines, officers, firefighters and doctors devote their lives to saving lives but what if someone runs back into a burning building to save a child or what if someone who jumps off a direct because someone else fell overboard. Even though these men did not live a life greater than themselves, they gave their lives to something other than themselves. They conducted a heroic act. So, do they fall under the category of a hero; I couldnt think of a primer coat not to.

I believe that there are deuce types of heroes: Those that devote their lives for the better welfare of others interchangeable a fire fighter or a doctor and those who put themselves in a great position for the good of someone else like rescuing a drowning child from a river. The two main qualities I place in a hero are fearlessness and empathy. According to Zimbardo, other qualities include integrity, compassion, heightened by an understanding of the spot of situational forces, an enhanced social awareness, and an abiding commitment to social action.(Zimbardo par. 1) I completely support Zimbardos contents of a hero because these qualities are what separate heroes from non-heroes. These attributes are the moving force of a heros will to do well and achieve their heroic mission. It is what sets them apart from everyone else.
