To whom it may concern,
I am writing this letter of challenge to the Lamar University Student pecuniary Aid to explain my reasoning for receiving a below average GPA in the 2010 Spring Semester. In order to accompany college it is crucial that I receive Financial Aid considering that both my brother and father also attend Lamar University. On New Years Eve of 2009 my grandfather passed away, he had been living with my parents since November and was very ill. When he passed away I suffered from deep depression which on many years unbroken me secluded in my room. I have since talked to many batch and have gotten over the situation. Missing so many days at the beginning of the semester really put me back conformation wise and I could never really catch up. I am currently being tutored and mentored by members of STARS to ensure that I do not repeat what happened in the 2010 Spring Semester. I have filled out a STARS cartel which gives me requirements and goals in which I have to meet by the end of the 2010 pedigree Semester. So far I am right on target to ensure that I meet my goals.
As a bonus I make a 100 on my first philosophy test and I have made a very strong effort to not swing any class days. I have also changed my surround since the 2010 Spring Semester, instead of living in the dorms at Lamar I now live with three close friends that not and take school very seriously, but also last my situation and help whenever possible. I have attached my STARS contract so that you can look over it. I evaluate your time and thank you for considering me for financial aid.
Sincerely,
Matthew Piggott
